Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving (and every day) I am thankful for:
  • God. The relationship that I have with my Saviour who loves and accepts me as I am. He refuses to give up on me and lets me work out my own kinks while He stands behind me, beside me, holding me....wherever I seem to need Him. I sure have tested it and I will never fully understand the level of His unconditional love.
  • My husband. He is everything I never knew I needed. I will spend the rest of my life wondering what I ever did to deserve him. ♥
  • My children. I am thankful for many things when it comes to my children. But for some reason, this year, I am especially thankful that they are healthy. I do not ever want to take that for granted.
  • Our families. Each and every one of them are so special to us. Our parents have been an ever present source of love and encouragement to us and it is truly scary to think about where we would be with out them. The Godly example that they have been to us and our kids means more than anything. Our sisters and brothers....you guys cheer us up, talk us down, slap us some sense, make us laugh till it hurts, help us out, and make us proud to be your siblings. And most importantly (ha ha), have given us the cutest nieces and nephews who we are completely smitten by.
  • Friends. I really include you guys in the family category....but I guess you guys are extra special because you love and support us and you don't technically have to! Well, some of you do because you work for us. Ha Ha. (Seriously, you guys (and girls!)  that work with us make it not feel like work. The fact that we get paid for the fun that we have is just a bonus. ) All of you have been exactly what we need in our lives and we are so glad that God put you there.
Oh, and one more thing...I am thankful that it is almost CHRISTMAS!!!!! Woo hoo!

More Fall Pictures

We have not been home much since Wednesday so I have not had any time to post anything but here are a few pics from last week...I took Christian and Landry to the place where we did family pics and took a few of the two of them. They were great little models..and the day was beautiful. The four of us (Trinity was my assistant because she loves to be wherever Landry is!) must have walked a mile but we had fun and came out with some shots that we liked
Our family Thanksgiving was wonderful...I will upload and  post pics soon!

Cousins

I was looking through the videos today and came upon a few that the kids made a month or two ago when the cousins were here. I thought this one was really funny! The ages range from 16 years old to 1 year old...but somehow, when you are family, it doesnt really matter!

The D wears P

Last night, my Dad took Dylan and I to a concert. It was the famine, the Devil wears Prada, Saosin and Underoath. It was frickin sweet.

Lyrics to this song:
Welcome to the war; a martyr's challenge
Chainsaw brutality tornado strength
King of the diamond; king of the grave
Lawlessness stains black on whitewashed tombs
We're too strong to compromise
Don't be ashamed of your faith
Dear Lord - deliver me from hypocrisy and surcease the scarlet desire
He wears a slick jacket and gold watch
Her dishonesty has scarred hands

Video of new drums up soon

TWILIGHT and other random stuff

Does that trailer not look awesome!
Let me go ahead and say right from the start.....
  • Yes, I know I am crazy
  • Yes, I know I am in my 30's
  • Yes, I have friends who are as crazy as me and I love them
Now that we have that out of the way we can get on with the blog...
Last night, a group of 10 of my (craziest) friends went to see a midnight showing of a movie that I have been anxiously anticipating for a few months now, Twilight.
Twilight the movie is based on Twilight the book which is the first in a series of four books by author Stephenie Meyer. I read the whole series in about a week and a half (and those suckers are thick!) and could not put them down. They are so good!
So, a group of us who are all obsessed with this series bought our tickets a week early (I was taking no chances) and stood in line for 4 hours last night! Thankfully, we were inside because it was very cold! Midnight showings are so much fun though. It was pretty crazy, hundreds of girls everywhere! Those of us who were not teenagers felt like we were all over again! Ha Its good for us.
The movie itself is great. Everyone had mixed reviews but that is because we all saw the book differently in our heads and you cannot possibly please everyone. The book is still, of course, way better and more detailed but the movie is awesome. I cannot wait for the second one!
Pictures!!
Waiting.....before the hundreds showed up. We were about 10 people from the front of the line=great seats!!

What did we do for fours hours? Talked, laughed, drank coffee...
Read!!
Played with a scarf??!! Silly Landry...

Played cards

In the theater finally! Michael and Richie joined us from work at this point..

Waiting patiently....(Eva enjoying a pickle!)
OK. So it has been a little while since any of us blogged. What else have we been up to? Well, one of us had a birthday! The most wonderful man in the whole world, my better half, my best friend, the love of my life turned 38 last Saturday! What better way to celebrate old age (!!) by inking yourself up a little? Sounds like fun to me! Michael has been working on a sleeve for way too long now and has decided to try to finish it up in the next 6 months. The top half is done, so now he is working on the bottom. Everything he has had done has a special meaning behind it. I think its dreamy :)
Roman numeral 7 with a nautical star
Skeleton key (the bottom part of the key has my initials SB but you may have to turn your head sideways to see it!)
Also, here is a little teaser. Christian is redoing his room. It is not quite finished yet (we have some painting to do still. ugh) but our friend Abe came out and "tagged" one wall that Christian had stenciled like brick. He is going for an urban kinda theme. We went to Ikea and got his bedding and even a few other cool things. Cant wait to show you when its done! His car is coming along nicely also and he swears when it is all done that he will get on here and blog about all of his projects!

It says "Bray" in case you cant tell!
