Lovely Weekend

I loved this weekend. Friday night was laid back, went to the gym as a family for a little while and then to eat.
But Saturday was a blast! First we went to my nephews first soccer game. A bunch of three year olds running around clueless (they had only had time to practice once, thanks to Ike) on a tiny little field while parents screamed (excitedly!) from the sidelines. "Other way!" "Kick the Ball!"and the most popular "Dont TOUCH the ball with your hands!" It was probably the funniest thing I have seen in awhile, and the cutest. They looked like little midgets with all of their gear on and the shorts that I am pretty sure were my size. No lie. There were ouchies and boo boos and tears (ummm, mostly from the boys) and even a few goals (they dont keep score at this age though....yeah right! It was 2-0, go Timothy!) but in the end, fun was had by all.
Here is my little buddy...

Here he is about to fall out of sheer excitement
And here he is deciding that he has had enough of this soccer stuff (until he heard that you get snacks and drinks at the end if you keep playing and finished the game!)

Later that night we had some of our favorite people in all of the world come over for dinner!
Playing games....

More games....I am not sure what Emily is doing and Im pretty sure she is gonna love that I put this on here...haha I was just so into the games I didnt get many pictures. (We dont usually keep score at this age....yeah right....girls rule!)

And the kids passing out (most of them!) as the adults stayed up until 2 am.

Dont have pics but we woke up Sunday (late) morning and had breakfast and devotions as a family and then went to lunch, (meaning I did not cook!Yea!) got to tour the Durans new house, and visit with Dad and Mom Bray.
This is our last weekend before Michael's season starts (Stars play Thursday!) so we wanted to take full advantage of having him home with us for an entire weekend. This sorta thing will not happen again until next summer :( I am so glad it all came together like it did, what a lovely weekend.

i forgot to comment on scoccer. kaden played in the spring & it was a blast watching little kids play or try to figure the whole thing out, the crying, kicking the ball in the wrong direction. he's not playing now - we need a break, but will play again in the spring. we will all be ready by then to see him back into action!
